Spring collet reduces long-term wear and increases clamping force

The common demand of the spring chuck for the superior skills of the fixture most of the structure of the fixture should select a variety of standard parts and a wide range of parts as far as possible, and the proportion of special parts should be as small as possible, so as to reduce the production labor and cost. All kinds of special structures and components of spring collet should be easy to make and measure, and easy to arrange and debug.
The adjustable structure of spring collet often chooses the form of bolt fastening and pin position. When changing and arranging the clamp, the length of a part can be easily grinded. In addition, it can control the length of the arrangement by changing the washers placed between the parts and the components, changing the washers or adjusting sleeves, etc., so as to compensate the errors of other parts and improve the precision of the fixture. Once the layout standard is processed, its place and length should not be changed. Therefore, these surfaces or lines which have to be changed or repaired in their own places and length in the process of layout cannot be regarded as layout standards.
In practice, the spring collet should often loosen and replace the workpiece. For example, it can be used in the turning center to spray a layer of flat and smooth agent on the inner hole of the spring collet when loosening. If possible, the coolant used is flat and smooth, which is very good, that is to say, it can wash the debris on the spring collet and provide a good flat and smooth effect. The long-term wear can be reduced and the clamping force can be increased by applying the modified flat smooth grease at the locking angle of the spring collet. It can also make use of other materials with very good smooth effect, including good grease or wax base materials with EP (extreme package) characteristics.

The reasonable selection of the clamping diameter and length level of the spring collet can ensure that the spring collet has a large clamping force on the workpiece, and the end of the clamping conditions, and then ensure that the machining is good and high precision. Assuming that the length of the inner hole diameter of the spring chuck is too large, the workpiece is only clamped by the holes of the spring chuck when the chuck is closed.
It is very possible that the spring collet generates a geometric mismatch between the outer circle of the workpiece and the inner hole of the spring collet, thus reducing the clamping force. It is assumed that the length of the inner hole diameter of the spring collet is too small. When the collet is closed, it only needs to touch the inner hole of the collet with the workpiece. Even if the clamping force is increased, the condition that the collet is not coaxial with the workpiece will be generated. A kind of level spring chuck can only position the workpiece with the corresponding diameter and length level.
