1.Milling cutter cutting part of the material milling cutter is used in milling machine cutting workpiece. Commonly used CNC milling cutter cutting part of the material is usually divided into two categories, one is high speed tool steel (referred to as high speed steel), one is cemented carbide.
High speed steel is mainly composed of tungsten, chromium, alum, molybdenum and cobalt. Cemented carbide is made of high hardness metal carbide and metal binder by powder metallurgy. High speed steel has many advantages, such as high bending strength, good toughness, hardness up to 63 ~ 70hrc after heat treatment, hot hardness temperature up to 550 ℃ ° C~600 ° C. It has good cutting performance. It can be cast and hot-rolled, using this material can be made into a variety of complex shapes of the cutter, the general shape of complex milling cutter is made of high speed steel. Cemented carbide is superior to high speed steel in hardness, wear resistance and heat resistance. The hardness of cemented carbide is very high, which can reach 74 ~ 82hrc at room temperature and 800 ℃ at hot hardening temperature ° C~1000 ° C。 The disadvantage of cemented carbide is its low bending strength and brittleness, so it is only suitable for manufacturing tools with simple shape.
2.The types and applications of CNC milling cutter are classified according to the use and shape of milling cutter, including milling cutter for milling plane, milling cutter for milling right angle groove, milling cutter for milling special groove and milling cutter for milling special surface.
3.The name and main angle of each part of CNC milling cutter. The cutter teeth on milling cutter are very similar to those used in lathe. Therefore, milling cutter can be regarded as several cutters evenly distributed on a circumference. Each milling cutter is composed of cutter body, groove angle, cutting edge, rake face and rake face. In milling, the cutting edge cuts into the metal layer of the workpiece to form cutting, and the cutting face flowing out from the cutter tooth is the rake face; The face opposite to the machined surface is called the flank; The intersection of rake face and rake face is called cutting edge.
