3、 Heat shrinkable shank
Working principle: clamp the cutting tool by using the difference of thermal expansion coefficient between the tool handle and the cutting tool.
Scope of application: processing occasions requiring high interference conditions.

Features: good anti-interference; The clamping range is small, and only one size of cutting tools can be clamped; The initial runout accuracy is good (it decreases rapidly with the increase of heating times); Special heating and cooling device is required, which has poor safety and high requirements for operators.



4、 Powerful milling cutter shank
Working principle: press the tool handle body to shrink through the nut to clamp the cutting tool.
Scope of application: end mill re cutting.
Features: high rigidity; The clamping force is strong, which is the largest among all clamping tool handles; Poor interference prevention; (some manufacturers have recently introduced a powerful milling cutter shank with an outer diameter of only 32mm for nuts) the runout accuracy is generally below 0.02mm, but some manufacturers have achieved 5 ~ 10 μ m。

Key points: whether the elastic deformation is uniform and whether the shrinkage is sufficient. (the collet thickened design can increase the rigidity and bear the heavy cutting of the end mill.)

Typical case: the powerful milling cutter handle made by Japan's jokho company adopts a very unique slit structure, which can make the chuck deform evenly, with strong clamping force and stable runout accuracy.



5、 Side fixed tool handle
Working principle: as its name, lock the cutting tool through the side fixing screws.
